Hospitality is at the heart of what we do, and every detail, from the way we prepare our drinks to the conversations we have at the bar, is part of what we call the Nomu experience.

My own journey to Nomu started years ago in the world of cocktails. I loved the creativity and precision of mixing drinks, finding balance, and surprising people with new flavors. Later, I worked as a barista, and that gave me a new appreciation for the craft of coffee, the ritual of preparing it, and the simple joy it can bring. After years of creating cocktails and being a barista, I wanted to bring those two worlds together — the creativity of mixology and the warmth of coffee culture.

That journey also led me to Japan, where I discovered the depth and beauty of matcha. It wasn’t just about the taste, but about the culture, tradition, and care behind it. That experience inspired me to bring matcha to Amsterdam in a new way authentic, but also creative and modern.

Nomu is the result of all of that: a place where quality, creativity, and community come together. Every drink we make is crafted with passion, and every guest who walks through our doors is part of what makes Nomu special.
